Flowers are the tools many plants use to reproduce. Most flowering plants rely on pollination to reproduce.
Most pollinators (about 200,000 species) are invertebrates or animals without backbones.
The greatest problem facing all pollinators is homelessness or habitat loss.
We can help pollinators even in Brooklyn, NY.  One thing we can do is give them shelter and food.
Read about our progress in the Himrod Wilson Community Garden, where students will plan and plant for pollinators.
